Head Coach Brad Ramezane

Coach Brad Ramezane started wrestling in junior high and continued through his four years at Gunderson High School. During high school, Coach Ramezane also played football. He continued to wrestle competitively at West Valley College and then transferred to University of Southern Oregon, Ashland, where he was part of their nationally known program.

A social science major, Coach Ramezane returned to the south bay and taught at Lincoln High School for three years before joining the faculty of Del Mar in 2000. This year Coach Ramezane is teaching freshmen and seniors.

Coach Ramezane's active life includes jogging, traveling, hunting, cooking, fishing, reading, and cycling. During July, Coach Ramezane took some of the Del Mar wrestlers to University of Southern Oregon for wrestling camp.

Coach Chris Lonaker

Coach Chris Lonaker is new to Del Mar this yearm having taught at Camden Day School for the last 5 years. He has a BS from San Jose State University in Kinesiology; he received his teaching credential from National University as well as a MA in teaching Special Education. From SJSU, Coach Lonaker has a MA in Educational Leadership and he also earned his administrative credential there.

Coach Lonaker was the heavyweight coach for wrestling at King’s Academy. In his spare time, he hikes, bikes, kick boxes, travels, and plays percussion instruments. Two years ago, Coach Lonaker spent six weeks in Ecuador and during the summer of 2006 he spent another six weeks in Europe.
